Mum recently has started to take advice on her home decoration from the foxtel (cable) home programs. Whenever home owners have a desire to improve, the programs always say....de-personalise and de-clutter. My mum will tackle the clutter when the house goes on the market in a few years.
This is a wall that is in our combined formal dining/lounge rooms. Mum and her brother (uncie) had been all adventurous and put a wallpaper border up and painted a radical red colour. Mum then sponged gold over the top. Some people said it reminded them of a Chinese Restaurant!! Mum said "gggrrrrr!" to that. She decided after 10 years - this has got to go.
So then mum (and dad) moved the cupboards away and put sheets and stuff all over the floor.
I grabbed a paintbrush and showed mum what true home decoration was all about!!!
NB: (Furkids, please do not try this at home - I knew the wall was about to be painted! Otherwise you might find yourselves with a smack on the bum bum!!!)
Alas, my artwork was not enough to save the red wall! (*Hummpphh*) :-(
I thought it was pretty good, at least I should have got credit and praise for not getting paint all stuck in my woozle!!
All yellowy neutral like the other walls in here.......I say boring!! What do you think?
