First the BAD, then the GOOD

Hi there furends!

You know that saying.... "every cloud has a silver lining".??

Well - this first event was my "cloud":

I'm sorry for those of you who are squeemish about goin' to a certain place.... can you see the word on the yellowy cream building?

Here I am still happy - because I've not yet met the lady v-e-t.

Oh oh...... See those black shoes in the background.......????? Yup they belong to the lady v-e-t (and she was from America!)

This shot is after all the yuck events..... mum couldn't take pics (thank goodness - I didn't want to freak you guys out) because she was hold'n me.

But let's just say, there were TWO needles and some unpleasant and undignified activity around my bum bum! Apparently there were things like temperature and anal glands that needed attention. See - that is not a happy smile - it's anxious puffing - and my tail is not wuggling - it's in its unhappy downward position.

And what is with the cold slippery steel on the table! I started shaking at the knees right away!

What a day.

Lucky for me ma decided to get my cloud a "silver lining":

Hmmmm - what's this?????????

OK - so I push it around and knock it over.........

And..........ooooooooo.........foodables fall out!!!!!!!!!!! Whoa!!!!

So THIS is a good thing!!! It helped me get over my yucky excursion !!!!

Thanks MA!

  3. nooooo, not there rubie-don't even spell out the word to the place you went. that's the most scariest place. i don't like anyone going near my bum area, my little nub tail goes down to cover that spot when anyone is near my bum! at least you got a cool toy, it looks a lot like a kong wobbler...that thing makes me growl sometimes. :)

  4. I absolutely H-A-T-E the you-know-where place! I can totally emphatize with you Rubie. But good thing it ended with a 'silver lining' eh? *wink*

Btw, your harness looks kinda cool, with spongy soft straps around the chest & armpits! May I know its brand please? Will ask my mom to check it out!

  6. Hey Rubie!
Wow, I'm glad your dogtor trip is all over with now! Whew Those are the worst. They are always so interested in our parts that are best ignored. They get way too personal. Anyway, that treat toy looks pawesome! Nice reward.

I get excited when I go to the vets' and sort of bounch off the walls. Kendra & Bella curls up in balls--quaking jelly balls.

    Our vet comes from Norway!

  10. Oh Rubie,
I don't like to go to the vet too: especially when they look in my mouth to see my teeth!!
But I know that, however they are good people who care for our health.
I am happy that your mom gave you something to overcome what happened!
Have a great weekend, my friend.

  11. Yo! Rubie! Thank you very much for your detailed info regarding the harness! Somehow it looks more padded on you than on their stuffed doggie BOL! Yeah, my mom said she heard of peppets before; we have a local online seller just that her sizes are limited. Thanks again ^_^

  12. I think you did great at the VET! It is surely a scary place, especially cause you have to see a human that gives you shots and not rubs! The wobbler looks fantastic and you did a great job getting the "foodables" out!

  13. Ugh. No dog likes the vet! I'm sorry to hear you had to go, but at least you got a neat toy out of it - and treats too!

  14. Hiya Rubie - oh, thank goodness this post had a happy ending! We've got one of those wobblers too - they're great! (JD's figured out that if he lets Max do all the work he still ends up with as much kibble from it, he he he!!)

Still, we bet you came top in the tests that the VET gave you!!
