Keep an eye on your Peeps!

(*Looks around*)  PPpppsssssttttttt!
Yes you.......pup or pus cat....
Gather around.......Listen up!
Make sure your peeps aren't here!

I gotta tells you somethin'. Last Sunday my peeps abandoned left me alone in the house kennel for, like,  over 87 hours. They tried to tell me that they had to go to a "Family Do" and that doggies were not going, so I couldn't go too. (*Humph!!*)

However, on securing and reviewing the flashy box when they weren't lookin' - check out the evidence I found!!!!

Exhibit A - does this look like a peep to you???!!!

Exhibit B - this does look like my mum's hand about to scritch under the chins area to me!!

Exhibit C - She looks like she's mighty pleased with herself!

So apparently this little white scottie terrier, Sky, managed to bust into the family affair and soaked up all the glory and attention that is normally reserved for ME! (*double humph*)

The little SNEAK! So much for terrier "sisters"!

I'm more than miffed!    (*sigh*) But what hurts me the most......is the secrecy, the isolation....I have feelings you know mum! (*sniffs*)

Footnote from Rubie's mum: Rubie is always welcome at our family gatherings, but this one was going to have loads of little peeps running rampant. Rubie may act all tough, but she is not comfortable around little children as she gets alarmed at squealing and them rushing up to her. A legacy of growing up around only adults I'm afraid. However, Sky is 12 years old and a retired purebred breeder girl. She belongs to our nephew whose mother-in-law breeds Scottish Terriers. Sky was very "chilled" and relaxed and snoozed for most of the day - whereas Rubie would be the "life of the party" until the kids start running and yelling! It was best that she had a 1/2 day to herself. However, there may be a meeting of Sky and Rubie soon, I hope Sky can cope with her! Fingers crossed.

  1. Sky looks a bit like Leigh's brother's West Highland terrier Molly. We get on OK but we don't see her very often as she lives up in Northumberland. That was bad news you couldn't go Rubie but the thought of all those squealing little peeps - well I think you might just have been in the best place :-) love from Magic xx

  5. Rubie, I can totally understand cos that's what ALWAYS happen to me *wails*. I am worse than you, I bark at adults too in all my excitement, not to mention young kids and toddlers! To add salt to injury, none of my peeps' family and friends have dog so they do not know how to interact with me *sad*.

  8. ohh, yes. yuki and rocket do not understand why children scream and run around...it actually frightens them, and of course they react by barking since they don't understand them. my daughter is the only child they are around but she is older, so they really only get along with adults.

  11. Hi Rubie - we're sorry you got abandoned - er, we mean - put into puppy daycare whist your peeps visited family. How terribly, terribly sad - is what you need to keep reminding your mom and dad - go for the guilt treats and cuddles, that's what we'd do, he he he!

And - OMD - we were SO excited to see a photo of us on your side bar! We've been doing an excited dance ever since - he he he!

  14. Oh, Rubie, you should have heard the giant Squeeeee! my human did when she saw that close-up of your face!

Then she went around muttering about how well groomed you always look, and how white your beard is. I figured she might start trying to brush me, so I distracted her by giving her some kisses.

    Keep up the good work!

    Puppy kisses
