Santy Paws came...... and other nice peeps were generous too!!

Hiya all,

My Mum's family always celebrates  Christmas on Christmas Eve. It's a huge day because my Grandpaw has his Birthday on Christmas Eve too. This year he turned 588 doggies years old..... that's 84 years old to peeps. It's a big day because family and friends drop in to visit from about 10:30am, and mum has to be a great hostess and therefore we did not get any pictures of during the peeps visiting time. We did however - score few snacks from the foodables extravaganza! (*winks*)

I am wishing Grandpaw a Happy Birthday and watched him eat one of the Almond Crescent cookies mum made him.

Let me help you get that icing sugar off your shirt Grandpaw!! I can be very helpful you know!

Zoe and me in Grandpaws' lounge room -  Grandpaw is sitting in the background. As you can see - we had to wear our Christmas collars again.

And here is Scarlet, with the Christmas tree and gifts in the background.

Mum wanted a shot of all three of us in front of the tree and gifts.

In the evening - after dinner and sweets, we got to open our gifts. I am very good at this you know!

Wow-wee - Santa got me a squeaky ball, a stuffy snake, a squeaky little octopus and a Christmas Penguin!! THANKS Santa Paws!

This is the "overall" shot to show how spoiled I am. Gifts of toys and foodables from Santa, my pawrents, uncie, Scarlet and Zoe, Auntie Lynny, Auntie C, Auntie S and Auntie J and my uncles of course.

OOOoooo I wanna get stuck in and play!

Uncie got me some mini Kong Balls - ooooo how I loves them!!

This is one of two Christmas Doggie Bon-Bons!!

Do I detect Doggie Gourmet cookies and stuffs????

OMD - They are good too!

I sincerely hope that all of you out there had an enjoyable Christmas - no matter how large or small the celebration!

I, for one, am a little pooped and am going to enjoy some quality  snooze time now. I'll be dreaming about the leftovers in the fridge I bet!!

Oh and a BIG THANKYOU to everyone and every pup and kitty who sent me a Christmas Card including the e-cards. Yes - I got WAY more than my peeps!! I've loved every single one of them, and mum had to make me a special place to display them all. I'll post a photo soon!

Bye for now!!

Christmas: Pawt TWO

You guys made mum and I laff and laff in your comments about that skeery HUGE Penguin. I liked Frankie's suggestion .... to put him on someone else's PORCH. (Problem is I can't lift him). Plus..... I have to decide which of my neighbours I like the LEAST to drop him off at their place! I needs thinkin' time!

Anywho - here is more on my Christmas season.

Our big Christmas bash is on Christmas Eve at Grandpaws' place, it's a double celebration for us. Traditionally - my mum and her family celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve (it's a German/Lutheran/European thing) and it's also Grandpaws' Birthday. He is mum's dad, and he is now 83........ that's almost 87 you know!!

First mum puts the Christmas Collars on Scarlet, Zoe and I..... and there is great funs from then on.

Little Zoe was "hell-bent" on tryin' to get Scarlets off.... it was very funny

It was very tempting for me to keep sticking my face into the foray too!

Then loads and loads of peeps arrived..... all huggin' and kissin'.... and eatin' yummy noms. They all loved us coz we is soooo super cutes! (Even if we do say so ourselves!)

Mum wants you to know that it took forever to get us all in the same shot and looking good..... there were many bloopers..... but we just loved playin' around and make the peeps work hard to get our attention - and what THEY call a good shot!

After all the "day-time" visitors left, my Grandpaw was gettin' a few phone calls from Germany..... relatives who was wishin' him well! I however, was wondering when I could start unwrappin' the gifts!! I gots all excited when I spied my very first Doggie Christmas Stocking (see behind me).

Finally..... after dinner and begging for  a taste of confit duck and roast porks.... we could start unwrappin' what Santy Paws had sent us!

I am an expert at making huge paper messes "wrapping papers"!!

OOoooooo lookie here..... is that a cookie from my favourites doggie bakery???

So you can see we had a great day..... and I'll post all my gifts tomorrow on Pawt Three!

Easter Sunday

Hey everyone.....today is Easter Sunday and we went to Grandpaws' for the day. It's a very special Easter because it is also my mum's Birthday!!!  I gave my mum a very special gift and she got all choked up when she opened my card..... I'll show you!

The envelope

Front of Card

Inside the Card.... My dad helped with the production of my card - I don't know how to use photo paper yet!

I'm very pleased that she liked it!          Back to Easter at Grandpaws':

This is MY Easter haul, mum promised me eggs - and I also got bunny cookies, and a yoghurt and a carob bunny!! All the bunnies were from "The Woofery" my favourite doggie bakery. Can't wait to get stuck in!

While waiting for Scarlet, Zoe and uncie to arrive - I got some quality time in with my auntie. A little more scritchin' to the left, auntie!!

Guess who burst in!!?

Once my cousins arrived, we got beefs ribs bones to nom on. This is Scarlet with hers.

Zoe gettin' amongst it.

Yummers.....

We were not the only critters havin' a feed outside.... check out these birdies that were nomming on Grandpaws' palm tree! See how pretty they are!

Ohhh..... lunch is served!!! Whadaya mean it's not FOR US!!!

OK - we will wait nicely for our turns at eating! Humph!!

Now it's our turn...... mum's peelin' our yellow eggies. As you can see I'm tryin' to speed the process along.... PEEL WOMAN!!!!!! We had to sit through all your duck and pork and stuff!!!

Zoe doin' quality assurance of our eggies!

ZOE: Ummm, yummers - keep peelin' auntie!

Yea finally - we all got to eat the eggies..... and it was my first ever boiled egg!

OMD........CAN YOU BELIEVE YOUR EYES????!!!! This is mum's Birthday Cake! She wishes to share with you this close up:

Taaaaa Daaaaa! Three layer almond meringue, with lemon curd, mango slices and vanilla thick cream. Oh - and she wants me to tell you there is almond praline on the top. She a clever mum - making her own Birthday Cake! Now hand some over!!!!!!!

Well - if we can't have some cake..... let's crack into those bunny cookies then!!

Here I am again - showing extreme patience and helping mum take it out of the cello bag.

YUMMERS - WE APPROVE OF THESE!!!!!!

So that was my first Easter, and the first Easter that ever fell on my mum's birthday - she hopes it doesn't happen again. Grandpaw felt a bit sorry for her having to do all the cooking and stuff today - so we are all going out to a Thai Restaurant on Wednesday! We furry girls just have to find a way to sneak in with the humans!!!!

Wherever you are, if you celebrate Easter - make sure you have a GREAT ONE!

Pee S: My FIRST Barkday is VERY SOON.... and I can't wait to eat MY CAKE!!!!

More ways of the Mini Schnauzer

Hi everyone - I didn't post for a while because I wanted to leave my previous post up for a few days to capture any more comments for the best photo for my Canvas. Thanks to my fav people who already have left comments.....  please feel free to continue to comment on the pics, my mum says "the jury is still out...." Mum may even borrow another camera from my mate Jazper's mum to see if she can do any better. We'll have to wait and see.

Remember not long ago we I showed you some "mini schnauzer positions"? Well, on visiting Grandpaw again, - we have captured some more for ya:

This is the "cute begging position" that we do when the humans are nomming something Yummers - that SHOULD be shared!

Scarlet is really good at this position..... in fact I think she taught Zoe and me some finer points about it!

Whereas I NEVER do this one, Scarlet is very good at the froggie legs position (also mum calls this the "confit duck leg"??!!?)  Scarlet has recently added her front legs wide apart, which has now turned the above position into the "bear skin rug" position.

Ohhhh, is Zoe performing another mini schnauzer position?

OK - I did this one before - it's the "too pooped to pop"! She has added to the level of difficulty by including the right ear relaxed against her dad's leg.

Before Zoe was "too pooped" we did do lots of "bitey face" which is kinda our favourite thing to do..... which ultimately results in all of us being "too pooped to pop"!!!!!! If you look closely - you can see we are both doin' the "Crazy eyes"!!

Friends, keep your eyes open for any more signature positions.... you don't even have to be a mini schnauzer!

Till next time, see ya!!
