Proof of LIFE ..... and Hollingday Pix (Moonta Bay) Pawt 1

Hi everybuddy ... I knows you have been wonderin' what the heck I'm up to ... goodness knows the human who is SUPPOSED to turn the BIG computer on so I can do my bloggin' ... Has been super SLACK I mean busy ... too busy to help me and my readers!!

As you know my furiends, my humans are selling our house and will start building our new one in the next few months. There has been much activity with all that - not to mention A LOT of my stuffs I cannot FIND anymore ... not since they hired a storage unit. A lot of our stuff is in there. Our house is now officially on the market, and every weekend there is what they call an "Open Inspection" of our house where peeps come and see if they want to live here. I mainly stay out the way and try not to shake any dirt on the freshly cleaned floors. I miss playing ball down the hallway too. The place is all clean and tidy now - minimalist they call it - and the peeps are just wishin' the house sells quickly. We will be homeless for a while .... but rumour has it we are going to go and live with Scarlet and Zoe for a while (Yays!)

On a happier note:

So this is my Proof of LIFE picture:

See here I am alive ... and relaxin' in my PKW (Peep Kennel on Wheels). The humans call it a caravan. But I didn't spend too much time here on the INSIDE because... the outside was way better see:

Check out the improvement structure of our Base Camp. This hollingday happened in the last two weeks of February. Mum and dad dad organised an extended balcony for me. See the extra creamy stuff on the ground - that gave me extra runnin' around room and they also packed my doggie fence so I could be lead free while at Base Camp and have an awesome view to boot!

This was some of which I could see - MY BEACH, jetty and general PKW park sights. Lots of woofing at dawgs and peeps walking' past my camp too!

The above shows you the expansive beach that was ALL MINE for 10 days! The tide was out through the day - made the beach even bigger. Well, ok, sometimes I had to share my beach...

Ya haff to be all polite and stuff to the LOCALS.

There was runnin' in the water and chasin' of the birdlife to do.

See this picture??? Mum says it's my look of PURE JOY!!!

I had MUM to worry about - she had her fair share of DRAMA

While she was walkin' along the edge of the water she decided to take a photo of the plantlife ...

And the silly duffer stood on one of THESE!

And Mr Sandcrab was not very happy about a heffer person standing on him and he PUT HIS CLAWS up AROUND mum's FOOT! Needless to say - there was a SCREAM - but everybody lived to tell the tale.

She also has very tasty skin and blood - and every sand fly and insect had a go at taking bites of her feet and legs ... she had red lumps all over them!

You cannot take her anywhere my friends!

I saw no reason to stop the good times from ROLLIN'!!!!

There were very pretty SUNSETS behind my the Jetty.

And loads of good foodables back at Base Camp.

I also made a very special furiend, I'll tell you all about her in the next post .... pray it won't be long everyone!!

Mum wants to let you know that I cannot yet get around to see all my Blogville mates ... still a lot happening at our end ... but I will in the end - I promise!!

I bet I have missed HEAPS!

PKW Hollingday (Port Vincent) Pawt 4 - "Road Trip!"

Morning tickles and snuggles with dad dad in the PKW. He tells me that today - uncie K and auntie B are coming in our car - we are going on a ROAD TRIP!

Driving out of our spot - we will be back later caravan park!

Mum wanted to go further down the York Peninsula and check out a coastal homestead that allows peeps to camp along the coast. Uncie K wanted to see it too so he can assess if it's good for fishing.

First stop for coffee was a little town called "Yorktown" and this is where we stopped - here I am checking the mural and looking at the sheeps and birdies.

We have reached the Homestead that is just out of Marion Bay - and we walked round to see the coastal campsites.

The first site contained a "Pod" - which is like a fully self contained box for peeps. This one overlooked:

This beach - but it was a steep winding path down the cliff to get to the beach. I was keen to go - but the peeps - not so much!

The next set of bush camps had this board walk down to the beach. We went down to check it out.

This is the beach - supposed to be good fishing here!

This is the track down from other campsites ... also really steep but very pretty.

This is looking to the left - we liked the look of this big rock pool!

The peeps liked the camp sites but the tracks down to the beach were too long and steep for good access or fishing. So they decided this homestead was not going on our camping calendar.

Anywho - we started getting hungry so we went to Marion Bay for a hamburger overlooking the jetty. Mum didn't get a photo of that though. I got big tastes of hamburger!! YUM!

Back to Yorktown - we found a nice pawk to have some photos taken.

Hey look in this town the rocks can look like CLOWNS .....

Or PANDAS!!!!

Even though this SERPENT was much bigger than ME .... I was very brave and not skeered at all!!

Meet this nice doggie "Ruby". She has a great name don't you think!? This lady in black is a Doggie Behaviour Instructor and was helping Ruby with some stuff. In particular, Ruby has a "issue" with meeting new doggies nicely. So I helped. We got along great. I showed Ruby that if you sit nice and calm (and for a few minutes without jumping up) for the instructor - you get a chicken treat!!!!!!!!!!!.

See here we both are showing our sitting calm behaviour for Ruby's mum. After a few minutes - that worked with chicken rewards too!! Woo Hooo! Now don't forget that skill Ruby!!

We said our goodbyes and got back in the car. Back to our campsite at Port Vincent to join our PKW.

That was a great day touring ..... and I was very good in the car. I even crawled into uncie K's lap and went to sleep!! For a non lap-dawg that was amazing they said. Uncie K used to be a farmer with a big sheeps property .... and he had doggies help him with the sheeps and stuff. So I think he is a bit of a dawg-whisperer!! I like him. This is his leg I'm sitting near.

So I hope you enjoyed the sights of our day out. Next Pawt will be the final hollingday post and I'll show you round the town of Port Vincent and introduce you to some of the dawg furiends I made here.

See you soon!!

Another PKW Adventure

I was lucky enough to go away with my peeps in the "Peep Kennel on Wheels" (AKA: PKW) again.

This time we went away with my Auntie Lynny who just bought her Peep Kennel and needed some help in coming to grips with caravanning. We camped nice and close. See how our PKW has a canvass room on the side and Auntie's PKW has one at the back.

Here are Auntie Lynny's three fur-kids bursting out the annex ready to go to the beach for a walk. These dawgs are all rescues. From left to right are Lily, Pip and Zac.

Woo-Hooooooo - This is what I loooovvvveee to do!!

Leads off on the beach.

Pipster looks mighty happy - she loves to roll on the sand. She is 11 years young.

Lily and Zac sniff the good smells on some seaweed, while I'm ahead with dad dad.

It wasn't that hot .... just nice.... but I'm happy to run into the water up to my tummy.

Our beach procession ...... Zac (the only boy and the oldest) stays close to his mum - and I'm always in front.

One day - we met a nice couple with two mini schnauzer boys and a spaniel. Man alive - did I have a ball playing with them and their ball. We had such a blast - and it was the only time mum didn't have a camera (eyes rolling!!)

Sometimes a nap in the PKW will play havoc on ones woozle "do".

A big part of PKW Hollingdays is my Schnauzer surveillance. Just because one is on hollingdays..... doesn't mean that my guarding duties can lapse!

In the evening - Auntie and her fur-kids came over for dinner in our annex. Here is Lily makin' herself comfortable on MY day bed with Pip on MY picnic rug. You can also see a bit of Zac in the bottom right hand corner, but I'm unsure if it's his head or bum bum (!)

This is another higher view of our base camp.

You will notice there are A LOT of PKW's that are the same sort as ours in the caravan park. Mum thought it was strange until she worked out that the park was hosting the A'Van owners club. We even had a visit by the South Australian president of the club to ask my peeps if they wanted to join-up. However, the club is not for us because fur-kids are not invited to the majority of events - and well- - the main reason my peeps bought the van was to allow me to go on holiday too.

Another beach walk - this time near the jetty.

I was a bit worried by all this down on the beach. It must be another weird peep club for funny clothes and strange squatting!!

Mum being artistic again ..... spot the schnauzer!

That's better isn't it!!!!   :-)

This is sun-rise on our final morning. Mum just wanted to prove that she and dad dad can get up early if needed. Now that they are retired ..... we don't get to see many sun-rises anymore!!

Here I am crawling out from under our van after all the packing up is done. I find a good place to rest while all the peeps huff and puff and do all that packing stuff.

Home safe and sound. See how white my paws are after shuffling along sea water 3 times a day for a few days. Boy my tummy looks big in this picture...... just an angle issue I'm sure.

This is me later on in the evening after my Baff. Still sleeping off my big hollingday.

**************************

Other business:

Christmas Cards. I've talked mum into putting me on the Blogville Card list again, and I've got my own cards ready to roll straight from the printers. When mum went to the post office to buy the stamps.... she was told that overseas stamps have increased from $1.60 to $2.55 each. Well my furiends, mum needed to be helped up from the post office carpet. So now Mr Australia Post Man wants his satchel to be gold lined!! The upshot of this, my furiends , was that mum only bought a very small amount of stamps for me, about a quarter of the amount she wanted to buy ...... and I think I actually saw steam coming out her ears!!

So please understand if you get an "e-card" from me - it is sent with all the love of a mail sent card!
