5th Birthday and my injury!!

Hiya all,

I know you were expectin' another post about my hollingday ... but my Birthday kinda came up in the meantime.

I also managed to somehow injure myself a couple of days earlier.

Saturday I turned 5 and we also had an "open inspection" of our house so mum planned to make me "Birthday Burgers" for dinner. Get a load of these!!!

Aren't they a "work of art" !!! Drool worthy!

Let me at em' mum!! (Even though I'm in pain)

OMD you are a GREAT CHEF mum!!

I ate every last crumb and all the tomato too.

**** SOOOOOooooooo Goooooooood ***

Now for my medical update ... I'll pass you onto ma for the info...

***

Hi - Rubie's mum here. Rubie started showing signs that something was a little wrong last Tues/Wed. She was having trouble bending her head down to retrieve food from the floor. (That's why her Birthday Burgers were served on our step) She also stopped going up and down our steps, stopped jumping on the couch/chairs/bed and when she did use the steps she walked them (instead of bounding) and gave little under breath grunts at the same time. We assumed she had pulled a muscle or strained something and was watching her over a few days (while lifting her a lot) to see if she was getting worse or better. We got her to the V-E-T this morning and he gave her a good exam and also concluded that she may have a soft tissue strain in the neck, shoulders or spine. Just to be sure he has taken her blood and will do a number of tests to check she is healthy. Some auto-immune disorders can present with these types of symptoms too. So she has tablet anti-inflammatories for the next four days and has been told to have gentle exercise only. We will get the outcome of her blood work tomorrow - and hope that it is all clear.

Proof of LIFE ..... and Hollingday Pix (Moonta Bay) Pawt 1

Hi everybuddy ... I knows you have been wonderin' what the heck I'm up to ... goodness knows the human who is SUPPOSED to turn the BIG computer on so I can do my bloggin' ... Has been super SLACK I mean busy ... too busy to help me and my readers!!

As you know my furiends, my humans are selling our house and will start building our new one in the next few months. There has been much activity with all that - not to mention A LOT of my stuffs I cannot FIND anymore ... not since they hired a storage unit. A lot of our stuff is in there. Our house is now officially on the market, and every weekend there is what they call an "Open Inspection" of our house where peeps come and see if they want to live here. I mainly stay out the way and try not to shake any dirt on the freshly cleaned floors. I miss playing ball down the hallway too. The place is all clean and tidy now - minimalist they call it - and the peeps are just wishin' the house sells quickly. We will be homeless for a while .... but rumour has it we are going to go and live with Scarlet and Zoe for a while (Yays!)

On a happier note:

So this is my Proof of LIFE picture:

See here I am alive ... and relaxin' in my PKW (Peep Kennel on Wheels). The humans call it a caravan. But I didn't spend too much time here on the INSIDE because... the outside was way better see:

Check out the improvement structure of our Base Camp. This hollingday happened in the last two weeks of February. Mum and dad dad organised an extended balcony for me. See the extra creamy stuff on the ground - that gave me extra runnin' around room and they also packed my doggie fence so I could be lead free while at Base Camp and have an awesome view to boot!

This was some of which I could see - MY BEACH, jetty and general PKW park sights. Lots of woofing at dawgs and peeps walking' past my camp too!

The above shows you the expansive beach that was ALL MINE for 10 days! The tide was out through the day - made the beach even bigger. Well, ok, sometimes I had to share my beach...

Ya haff to be all polite and stuff to the LOCALS.

There was runnin' in the water and chasin' of the birdlife to do.

See this picture??? Mum says it's my look of PURE JOY!!!

I had MUM to worry about - she had her fair share of DRAMA

While she was walkin' along the edge of the water she decided to take a photo of the plantlife ...

And the silly duffer stood on one of THESE!

And Mr Sandcrab was not very happy about a heffer person standing on him and he PUT HIS CLAWS up AROUND mum's FOOT! Needless to say - there was a SCREAM - but everybody lived to tell the tale.

She also has very tasty skin and blood - and every sand fly and insect had a go at taking bites of her feet and legs ... she had red lumps all over them!

You cannot take her anywhere my friends!

I saw no reason to stop the good times from ROLLIN'!!!!

There were very pretty SUNSETS behind my the Jetty.

And loads of good foodables back at Base Camp.

I also made a very special furiend, I'll tell you all about her in the next post .... pray it won't be long everyone!!

Mum wants to let you know that I cannot yet get around to see all my Blogville mates ... still a lot happening at our end ... but I will in the end - I promise!!

I bet I have missed HEAPS!

It's OFFICIAL - We are building a HOUSE !

Hi ALL,

As you know - my mum has been busy recovering after her big surgeries - and - I have done a GREAT job of making sure she is ALL better and stuffs. She wants to tell you that she is very much recovered and is feeling strong again. She will need all her strength for the next few months - coz we have done this:

This is dad dad signing for our house build - with Auntie Eileen - the very nice "Oakford Homes" lady. We have designed our house from the ground up. You can just see our plan on the white paper in the background.

Mum dad dad and I checked out some display homes where Auntie Eileen works. This is the first visit for me and the display village was not open yet so I got to have a look around before opening hours began.

Woo Hoo this one has a long hallway! Very good for playing tennis balls!!

Gotta sniffs the back of the couch ... no pee-mail here thank goodness!!

OK - it's got a kitchen - but where is the most impawtant thingy?? The dawg bowl mat - of course???!!!

Nup - no dawg station in this one either!

Can't see the dawg station in here!! (These peeps have no idea how to style a house!!)

Another ensuite

Oh - this one has shiny tiles huh!! No dawg mat in this one either. None of these are suitable ma!!!

Mum and dad dad love the "alfresco" on this house - and have designed their alfresco based on this display home.

As long as there is a doggie door in the glass doors - I approve!

It's gonna be sad to leave my house ... but at least I won't be leaving the area.

Stay tuned - will be posting about our PKW hollingday soon!!

Hospitals and a Mum Pupdate.

Hiya all,

As some of you know, on the 5th January my mum packed a small wheelie bag and left me. She went to a place like this:

She even had her own room - it was number 407

The first day was horrible - she tells me she was "put to sleep" and then doctors cut open her tummy, and took out her lady part. She tells me she was very crook for quite a few hours after that.

I don't know what the big deal is - I HAD that DONE when I was six months old see:

You didn't see me lying around feeling sorry for myself.... well okay - busted - but it didn't take me long to be runnin' around back to normal.

Really - she did it sooooo tough. She had her room cleaned and bed made up everyday .... she could watch TV whenever she wanted. She even had her own private baffroom.

The nice ladies gave her shortbread cookies with her cups of coffee and hot chocolate!!

Other nice ladies brought her awesome foodables like Shepherds Pie, veggies and mash, ice-cream and fresh fruit salads. She could drink as much juice as she wanted too.

She didn't even have to wash the dishes either!!

She did lots of "walkies" around the hallways - even late at night if she wanted.

Orchids were brought to her.

In fact, this is what she thought of her hospitals. Frankly my friends - I think she gots WAY too COMFORTABLES.

She even started to take Hospital Selfie's !! This one she posted on Facebark!

And check this out. When the Choccy muffins and cakes started arriving for morning/afternoon tea ... quite frankly I thought she ain't ever comin' home!!

I heard about all of this ... and eventually cracked and sent dad dad to go and get her BACK:

Oh thank goodness you got her outa that Hospitals place!! Did you have to prise her fingernails out of the doorframe to move her out?? It wouldn't surprise me.

And your first task ma .... is to give me a neck scritch ... yea that's the spot!!

I, Rubie, want to send a very special SHOUT OUT/ BARK OUT to my Auntie K who lives in Florida in the USA. She has lots of health issues and was kind enough to keep an eye on ma and say lots of nice things to her to help her heal.

It's worked Auntie K. You are a real nice lady and my ma values your friendship very much.

Mum is still being lazy but is probably doing a bit more than she should. But she says she feels good, but gets tired easy. Her pain levels are much much better too. I'm still not allowed to jump up on her and do my signature MOVE (mum calls it a double fist pump into the abdomen!! he he)Won't be long and she will be chasing me (I loves that!) and throwing my balls for me once again.

In my next post I'll have more info on our New House Project!

Christmas 2014

Hiya all,

Sorry I have NOT been around woofing in Blogville for 87 years .... but there is stuffs going on here that is gettin' in my way. December is bad enough for my ma - she has LOTS to do - but now there is extra on her (and therefore MY) bowl plate... she is having tummy surgery very early in January and will be in recovery for 7-8 weeks. (She had better recover like clockwork because we are booked away for a seaside hollingday late February). As if that was not bad enough - we are about to confirm on a "house and land package" so I will get a brand new HOUSE (and hopefully a patch of grass just for me!) ... but in the meantime we have to declutter, clean-up and pimp our current house - in preparation to selling it. So it's on like donkey kong around here. So don't forget me - I'm still here - but the person who turns the computer on so I can get blogging done - will be otherwise occupied for a while.

On to my actual POST:

Looka at all my STUFFS!!!!!!

My BEST Auntie (B - the one we camp with in the PKW) got me this GREAT SIGN. It worked!!

This is me at Grandpaws. I was pooped after a full few hours of playing with family and guests. I was taking advantage of a break in proceedings to recharge. And also being close to the table means I was dreamin' about confit duck and roast pork!!

Scarlet (Top) and Zoe were there too - and we gots decorated with those collars again!

I opened my OWN presents.

And checked the other bundles of paper to make sure nothing was missed!

It got real late ... and it was a LONG day ... and past Scarlet and Zoe's bedtimes.

The next day (Xmas Day) I was left home to sleep off Xmas Eve ... my pawrents went to Dad dad's sisters place - and mum was in charge of making a HUGE choccy mousse and a LOLLY Buffet.

The many kids loved it too! Mum was mobbed when the bowls started coming out - she didn't even get a chance to decorate the table like she was going to.

This is Bintang. He is a silkywawa. (Cross between a silky terrier and Chihuahua). Just a pup 14 weeks old and cute as a button. I was told he had a great time with all the kids and Santa - but I would not have enjoyed that much (especially the kids bit).

I held down the couch at my place instead.

I am so happy with my gifts. There are less toys this year as I'm kinda growing out of them now that I'm 4 and a half. I'm BALL CRAZY still!

Also - I got some lovely cards from friends in Blogville - but I did not join the card exchange this year because mum was not able to even do her cards - let alone help with mine. Thank you - the cards I got are treasured!!

Oooooo I wish I could open these packs right NOW!!

On a serious note - I hope all of you out there had a lovely Christmas or holiday season. Pace yourself with those consumable gifts ....

Right ma - get this plastic off this chew stick and remove my collar - I've got stuffs to do!!!

*****

Wish me luck everyone - I'll be stuck with my Dad dad as the only peep to keep me alive for a while - Let's hope he's up to it!!

I'll give you pup-dates as I can!!

Bye for now!!
