(Another) PKW Hollingday (Normanville Beach) Pawt 1

Can you guess where I am????

Yups - I am resting in the Annex of our Peep Kennel on Wheels (PKW)

Here is Base Camp. We are camped at the Normanville Caravan Park for 10 nights. Just mum, dad dad and I are here on our own for the first 5 nights .... then we will be joined by dad dad's two sisters and their hubs.

So why am I so TIRED???

Coz I have been doing a LOT of this on the BEACH.

Coming back to camp from the beach .... if I've gone swimming:

Mum rinses the sea water off my skin and wraps me in a towel to dry off.

There are many walks too - this one is along the esplanade.

Need some help with that Ice-Cream Ma???

This is the first day of my Aunties and Uncies arrival. I took them down the beach to exercise them a bit. This day was a little cool - so I knew they would "make it".

We love this particular caravan park because it has a river running through it that links to the ocean. The river is a popular fishing spot - see my Uncie K fishing (he's on the right) with his friend. They both caught fish too.

Back at camp - it got a little like a dawg park from time to time. This is MIA - she is a mini schnauzer cross shih tzu. 

Here is Mia's best mate Maddie (the white Westie) and in the background is another white doggie from the caravan behind us. 

You should have seen my mum SWOONING over MIA .... Mia was so CUDDLY and LOVING .... 

Mum wishes I was a little more like that ... but I'm "little miss independent"

We also saw this little fella - he was lingering outside the "MENS" building.

This is dad dad and I watching TV in the PKW at the end of the day. I was exhausted!

Beach Romping in May!

BOO-BOO A MINIATURE SCHNAUZER !

As you may or may not know - we here in Adelaide, Australia are well into Autumn, and well into colder temperatures. Well, we call them cold, but those of you in snow territories may think that is just a laugh. Anywho - a couple of weeks ago, there was a FREAK day where some of the tropical warm currents floated all the way down to Adelaide, and warmed up our place. It got to 27 degrees (80 F) so instead of my normal walk, we headed for the beach!

We decided to go to O'Sullivans Beach - this is a dedicated "doggie" beach real close to our place.

There wasn't heaps of dogs there, but I found a couple to do zoomies with! Mostly, I loved chasin' my ball around.

Then when I was nice and wet, I made sure I smooshed as much sand into my furs that I could manage!

And I even enjoyed going really deep into the rock pools to get my ball and stuffs. Mum was shocked as I am such a water "phobe" when it comes to the "nice warm b-a-t-h".

I was convinced that I had enough water dunking to avoid having to undergo b-a-t-h time again when we got home. But I was wrong. She said I needed to have the sand rinsed off !!

But it was a great day!

PeeS: Mum and I got to the Post Office last Tuesday (14th) and posted all the great Birthday Presents won by the 11 "lucky ducks".    So - your pawsonal pawcel delivery peeps will soon be bringing some mail!! Don't bite their ankles till they have handed over the pawcel now!! ;-)

"A run" on Silver Sands Beach

We had some cooler than normal "summer weather" just recently.... so we took the opportunity to drive to a nice beach so I could stretch my legs.

Here we are just arriving at the beach. Nice "cool" and overcast day around 24 degrees C (75F).

Dad unhooked me and I said "throw the ball, throw the ball!!"

Yaaaaayyyyyy....runnin' like the wind!

They decided that I would run better without my harness on...... see I've already made use of the poop-a-doop bag!!

I call this move the "deer hop"!!!!

Yay - We Are Back!

What a week we've had.

First mum was completely preoccupied on a little "health situation" she has had and done NOTHING about for ages and ages.

Then blogger went bumbkum and we lost dozens of comments that we put on all my mates blogs!! She said GGGrrrrr!

Then one day we all had to get up in the dark.... real early...... and dad and I took her to this big building called a hospital.... and she stayed there for half a day. Dad got a phone call when she was ready to be picked up.

When she came home she didn't feel like playing "tennis balls" or going on walks with me.

However, things are looking up - she is playing "tennis balls" with me today...... and she's even turned on the computer so I could give you all an update!!

Thank goodness she is gonna be okay - dad needs her help to keep me in check around here. Oh, and I have to help her with eating her food. QA an' all.

Come on ma..... throw this ball for me ....... again!!

Mum went SHOPPING for ME!

My mum disappeared yesterday morning, and I was at home with dad. She said she had to go to the craft shop where she occasionally helps out, but that she would have a surprise for me when she got back!

So that set me up for a lot of pacing and waiting! Dad finally agreed to take me for a local walk before it got too hot. I love my walks - occasionally I make him RUN!

Mum got home at about 2:00pm. She came in with a bag.  So what did ya buy me mum!!??

OOOhhh - the packaging looks GREAT!! What is it?????

WOW! A 7 metre long lead!!!! I've been wanting one of these for ages!!! This will give me a little more freedom!! When can we try it out??????

And - there's something else???

Oooooo - this is a Holey Roller - Oskar blogged about this about a week ago - he's got a green one - and now I have one too! He gave it the "Oskar Paws Up". Can't wait to check it out!

Mum put a beef jerky strap in it.

I had to work out a system.......

I found that if you squish it with one paw - it helps in gettin' the treat out! I'm looking smug because I have just emptied the roller!! Yum!

Thanks mum, you can go shopping for me more often!
