The Horror TABLE !!

You were right my furiends. Remember when I did my post about the "Hydraulic Treat Table" that my mum bought over the internuts???? And you guys said thingys like "Run!, Scream!!, Hide!!!!!".

I said it's OK...... because when I'm on the new table my mum gives me liver treats so it must have been the TREAT table.

I'm a little gully-bulls sometimes.... and well.... you guys were "spot-on"!! You are so smart!

Uncie came over and he and mum moved the table into the laundry. Then I got lifted on it..... and put into a NOOSE!!!!

VERY Un-dig-nif-fied indeed!! And how am I supposed to BREATHE PEOPLE??????

Oh NO!!!!! Now the buzzy clipper thingy is switched on me! 

It's just a touch-up trim they said..... because the weather is cold! But they think my furs were getting all clumpy and tangly - especially on my underbelly and legs. HOGWASH!

This is my "after" shot. You can see how I'm still unhappy and doing my nervous pant. I found that if I leaned against the noosy thingy- I could make myself chokes and pants..... just to send the message to the peeps that I was not happy with the new table..... or the clipping!

AND there were very few liver treats to "rub salt into my wounds!!"

My only consolation was the events to follow... (*he he*):

SCARLET: What???? Why are you taking my picture and interrupting my nap??

SCARLET: Ohhhhh drats!!!! We shoulda listened to Rubies bloggie furiends and run away from home!!

PeeS: Zoe copped it too only mum didn't get photos of her because mum had to start makin' dinner.

We hates Groomin' Day!!!

Happy Easter ( it WAS!)

We went to Grandpaws' place for Easter Sunday. We met my Auntie and Uncie, along with Scarlet and Zoe there.

If you look close - you can see OUR doggie "easter egg cookies" mum made special for us given we cannot eat chocolate ones. They are this side of centre in little cello bags with gold ribbons. They are "chicken satay with seeds" flavour.

Mum and auntie prepared lunch - they had creamy potato bake, roast pumpkin, roast pork and gravy, duck confit with sour cherry sauce and buttered parsley carrots. It's smelled so yummers!!!

My eyes were firmly on that duck and pork!!!

After peep lunch, and our sampling, we each got a doggie "easter egg" - mum made them all pretty with stickers and stuff.

ZOE:    OOOoooooo peel the eggies auntie!!!!!!!! Quick!

So mum peeled them - one by one (far too slowly for our liking) - and we each got a whole easter egg to nom.

I woofed mine down.

Zoe Zoes was next.

And then Scarlet got hers - see how dainty she takes her pieces. Not like me - mum has to be careful she doesn't lose a finger with my technique!!

All of a sudden - uncie, mum and I went outside - and I suddenly got nervous because there was grooming equipments set up.

So I got my hairs trimmed    :-( 

Mum says I really needed it because I couldn't see through my eyebrows anymore. What would she know!!

I got to play at "half time" with my cousins to blow off some pent up "steam" from standin' on the groomin' table.

See my face not done yet - and my peeps think the "tassle" on the end of my tail is "CUTE" - I pointed to the breed grooming expectation of a mini schnauzer and there is nothing like this goin' on!! My mate Magic's mum will tell ya! It's sooo hard to get good help.

ZOE: Hurry up with your hair cut Rubie - I am waiting for sweets to be served!!! 

The peeps had their sweets (white chocolate and passionfruit mousse) served inside chocolate eggs!!! You can get the full recipe from mum's personal blog (link in my sidebar) - it will go up shortly.

Us doggies had some chicken satay egg cookies - sorry mum was too occupied doin' dishes and stuff to get the pics. Dad dad gave them to us.

When I got home - I just wanted to snooze on my couch with my new Chicken easter Stuffie. 

I just want to say - even with the hair-cut - that was a great day, and I hope your Easter was as Happy as MINE was!!!!! (minus the grooming bit of course!)

I must take a deep breath before I type this post..... it was a tough tough day! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my wonderful readers and comment makers for all the words of moral support in my last post. You are wonderful. Especially my Dex.

ZOE: What the bark?????? How/why is this horror happening at Auntie's?????? Heeeellllpppppp!!!

SCARLET: Can't help ya sis, ........ I got thrown in the tub with ya! Not Happy!!

While the girls are dryin' off - I've been brushed and still OK with standin' on this little table...at the moment.

Yikes..... I've just got through most of my hair cuttin' - but I get real shirty when my head is bein' trimmed. 

This is your last few moments of feelin' happy and relaxed Zoe, your dad dad is gonna start up that buzzy clipper thingy soon!

ZOE: He loves me, he wouldn't do that, would he????

ZOE: Well - even though my dad dad loves me, he cut all my furs off even though I was all unhappy about it! And, Scarlet, I'd wipe that smile off your face...... coz you are NEXT!

SCARLET: Whaddayamean????   I'm gorgeous will all my furs on, he wouldn't buzzy clipper me!!

SCARLET: See, mini schnauzer perfection!!!!!!

SCARLET: Yikes!!!! I'm being groomed too!!! Hey! So much for not messing with perfection dad dad!!

Well Zoe - I'm checking your furs - and it's really short on your back.....

SCARLET: Whew - I'm outa that torture room - now give me a treat!!

ZOE: Look at my Goth lips!! My auntie loves them..... and where is my treat??

Aaaaahhhh - I may have already had my treats (I need support to get through THAT buzzy process) ....... but that doesn't stop me asking for more!

ZOE: Let's come over here and pose - we may score some of those dried liver noms......yummers! Sit and pose all nice like, girls!

Right we are all here, but Scarlet is too exhausted to sit - she needs to lie down - but we are all gonna get more treats! Such a traumatic day.

Hi Furends,

Apparently, my mum and uncie think that I'm looking all "wookie" like, you know, long furs and all that. We have had a long winter. They have told me that the buzzy clipper thingy is gonna make an appearance!   :-0

OMD - those giant buzzy clipper things are gonna come after me.......I'm runnin' away from them!!!! As fast as I can!!

I'm hearing words like; overgrown, woolly, shaggy and daggy!! (*gasp*)

It hurts me. (*gulp*) I have schnauzer feelings you know!!

(run and hide Scarlet and Zoe - I think I won't be alone in this!)

More Groomin' ..... and some play

It was time for our last "summer cuts" so when uncie, Scarlet and Zoe came over last week, I noticed they had fresh cuts.....so that meant only ONE thing:

Yep - another groomin' session - with the buzzy clippers. Yucch. At least uncie didn't yank hunks of hair outa my ears this time!

ZOE: This is the way I wait - I'm lying over the back of the couch, using the room divider as a chin rest! Then I can rest and wait at the same time. If I see any scoring by the other two - I'm there in a FLASH!

This is the "too pooped to pop" position - a favourite of mine after a visit from Scarlet and Zoe (and uncie).
